Welcome to the Science Fair Wiki for Cumberland Elementary School!

How to volunteer to help

On this site, you'll find key information about the 2012 Science Fair, resources to help families work on projects, signup forms and more.

The K-3 Science Fair will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012, 6-8 p.m., in the Cherry Chase Elementary School multipurpose room. The Grades 4-5 Science Fair will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012, 6-8 p.m., also at Cherry Chase.

Please note, these dates have changed since the PTA handbook was published this fall. We plan to hold the fair at Cherry Chase due to construction at Cumberland. If Cumberland's multipurpose room is finished before the fair dates, we will move the fair back to campus. Stay tuned!

IMPORTANT: This year, all projects are limited to display boards only. We are unable to accept any demonstration materials or additional components. Project displays will be transported to Cherry Chase for the fair due to lack of space at Cumberland.

Participation in the Science Fair is voluntary for students in kindergarten through third grade and mandatory for students in fourth and fifth grade. It is a not a competition: Every student receives a ribbon and a certificate. The goal is to explore and enjoy science!
